So many practice drawings behind the few good ones. .
Drawings that used to amaze me for good they were and now seem kinda Meh. .
...and the bloopers! I don’t post enough of those to keep this feed real.

Sometimes it’s good to look back and see how far you have travelled.

Art history is full of women drawn by men. Sometimes I feel that the more fetishized and voyeuristic the representation, the better. Women are rarely there for more than to be seen and enjoyed by the viewer. That is why we do all we do, right? .

One of the drawings that has always bothered me was ‘The Tub’ by creep-supreme Degas. He has a whole series of women being seen from behind with bathing. They were praised for the innovation of the candid (/voyeuristic) feeling, whereas most models before looked like they knew they were being painted. Imagine that?!! .
What would happen if those women turned around?

I am always amazed to see what a handful of old pastels can create. That is everything that was used to create the drawing. There is even one color that I didn’t end up using. .
You can create anything you put your mind to! Just keep practicing with what you have :) .
